Obituary of Joan Maey Hebert

The death of Joan Maey Hebert, aged 82 years, of 62 Puggsley Ave., wife of Irvine John Hebert, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 9, 2003. Mrs. Hebert was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Robert J. and Mary (Johnston) Garnett. Joan worked at the Gold Crescent in the 1940's and then worked for 20 years at Campbell Soup Co. in New Toronto, Ont. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Ronald, LeRoy, and Norman Garnett; and one sister, Doris Anderson. She is survived by three brothers, Peter Garnett (Geraldine), Gregory Garnett (Elsie), and Leslie Garnett (Mary) all of Saint John; three sisters, Yvonne Mason and Barbara Campbell, both of Saint John, and Demaris Conning (William) of Portage LaPrairie; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Friday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
