Obituary of Catherine A. Creary

CREARY- the death of Catherine A. Creary of Rocmaura Nursing Home, widow of John F. Creary, occurred at her residence on Thursday, July 7, 2005. Mrs. Creary was born in Saint John in 1911, a daughter of the late William and Bertha (Sweeney) Evans. She had been employed in the office of F. W. Woolworth until her retirement in 1968. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League for over fifty years. She was pre deceased by six brothers, James Evans, George Evans, Leo Evans, Charles Evans, Donald Evans, and Jack Evans, and four sisters, Zita, Mrs. Edward Bowes, Dorothy, Mrs. Henry Hebert, Madeline, Mrs. Wilbur Barry, and Theresa Evans. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Monday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
