Obituary of Lois M. Savoie

SAVOIE-the death of Lois M. Savoie of 40 Borosha Rd., wife of J. David Savoie, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, May 28, 2005. Mrs. Savoie was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late William D. and Mary Jane (Lockhart) Rodday. She had been employed with M.R.A.'s until her marriage in 1955. She was a live member of the Ladies' Auxillary of Jervis Bay Royal Canadian Legion and an avid bingo player. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, David (Anita) of Middle Sackville, N.S., and Wayne of Saint John; three daughters Jane Edison (Jack), Linda Slovitt (Bruce), and Wendy Roberts (Andrew), all of Saint John; two sisters, Jean Cormier and Doris Quinlan (Arthur), both of Saint John; 8 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Wednesday at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
