Obituary of M. Theresa Doherty

The death of M. Theresa Doherty of Rocmaura Nursing Home occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, January 21, 2005. Miss Doherty was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Frank L. and Chappelle (Enslow) Doherty, and had been employed with Maple Leaf Mills until her retirement a number of years ago. She had been a member of the Catholic Women's League and the Legion of Mary. She is survived by two brothers, Martin Doherty of Boise, Idaho, and Michael Doherty of Vancouver; three sisters, Marion Hughes of Rothesay, Louise Lewin of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Cecily Cormier of Calgary; her special friend, Eleanor Guignard of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Rocmaura Foundation Inc. would be appreciated.
