Obituary of Sister M. Rose Trainor

The death of Sister M. Rose Trainor (Sr. Alma Marie) occurred at Ruth Ross Residence on Tuesday, January 4, 2005. Sister Trainor was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Albert and Alma (Doyle) Trainor. She entered the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception on September 8, 1929. Sister taught in Woodstock, Vancouver, B.C., and St. Stephen. She was employed in the office at St. Vincent's Hospital, Vancouver and the taught at Assumption School in Saint John. She served at St. Vincent's Convent, Saint John until her retirement to Ruth Ross Residence in 1991. She was pre-deceased by a brother, George Trainor. She is survived by a brother, Patrick Trainor of Whitby, Ont.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Nugent of Dartmouth, N.S., and Mrs. Alma Galipeau of Boucherville, Quebec; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at St. Vincent's Convent, 31 Cliff St., with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Vincent's Chapel on Thursday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in the Sisters of Charity Plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Prayer Vigil will be held on Wednesday evening at seven o'clock.
