Obituary of Frances Alberta Reid

It is with appreciation for a life well lived that the family of Frances “Fran” Alberta Reid, wife of the late John Reid, announce her passing on April 8, 2021 at Kennebec Manor. Born in St. Martins, NB on October 25, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Whitfield and Maude (Brown) McIntyre.

Frances was a woman of great faith and was a lifelong member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed volunteering for various organizations in Saint John. Most of all she loved her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She will be missed.

Frances will be lovingly remembered by her children, Patricia Howe (David), David Reid and Robert Reid (Anne); grandchildren, Katie, Mark, Jonathan and Jessica; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Frances was predeceased by her six brothers.

Arrangements under the care and direction of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John (634-7425). A private immediate family funeral service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
