Obituary of J. Wayne LeBlanc

The death of Wayne LeBlanc of Quispamsis, beloved husband of Judy (King) LeBlanc, occurred Wednesday, September 21st, 2011, surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Eugene and Julia (Frenette) LeBlanc. Wayne was employed with the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification training program for 27 years. He was extremely passionate about the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Wayne was an awesome cook and was well known for his lobster feasts and beef jerky creations. He loved telling a good story, making people laugh, a good game of cards and was famously known for giving the greatest bear hugs ever. Wayne also enjoyed spending time with his canine companion, Cassie. Most of all, Wayne loved his family, especially his granddaughters who will always remember their “Papa” as caring and playful. He will always be remembered as a devoted and loving Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Besides his loving wife, Judy, Wayne is also survived by his children (who so tenderly referred to their father as “Boy”), Shelley Roy (Brian) and Stephen Melvin (Janelle) both of Quispamsis; two precious granddaughters, Emily and Ava Roy; four sisters, Anne Marie Terris (Jerome) of Ontario, Patricia Bradley (Fred) of Saint John, Donna Davey (Michael) of Darlings Island and Theresa LeBlanc Parks (Terry) of Rothesay; two brothers, Laurie LeBlanc (Jacinthe) of Saint John and Edwin LeBlanc (Rosemarie) of St. Andrews; goddaughter, Angela Fortin; godson, Jerrad Brewer; best friend, Steve Brewer; several nieces and nephews; as well as, several great-nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Wayne was also predeceased by his in-laws, Doug and Gloria King. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, on Saturday, September 24th, 2011, at 10:00 AM. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the Mass. Interment will take place at a later date.
