Obituary of Hazel Marjorie Edith Booker

The death of Hazel Booker, wife of the late Lawrence Kenneth Booker, formerly of Woodmans Point, NB, occurred on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at the Rocmaura Nursing Home in Saint John, NB. Born in London, England, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Frank Sly and Edith May Lay. Hazel had attended St. Peter's Anglican Church and had been employed with MRA Department store and later had operated a stall in the City Market. Survived by two daughters, Brenda (James) Rathburn of Woodmans Point and Heather (Joseph) Cooper of Arturette, NB; one son, William E. (Hazel) Booker of Morrisdale, NB; one sister, Pamela (Frank) Salvo, South Berry, Mass., USA; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, Leslie E. and Reginal J. Sly. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Bay View Chapel on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 11 am. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, Woodmans Point. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
