Obituary of Marjorie Lois Lingley
The death of Mrs. Marjorie Lois Lingley of Centennial Drive, formerly of Browns Flat, wife of Douglas H. Lingley. Occurred on Friday, January 17, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ann (Berry) Belyea. Marjorie was employed for 40 years with Dominion Stores retiring in 1987, she was an avid speed skater, quilter and Dancer. Besides her husband of 14 years, she is survived by five sons, David Ganong and Wayne Ganong (Theresa), both of Saint John, Donald Ganong (Tara) of Halifax, NS, Alan Dorcas ( Pauline) of Vancouver, BC, Brian Dorcas (Patty) of Westfield, NB, two daughters, Susan Vickush (Tom) of Kelowna, BC, and Judy Randall(Lynwood) of Saint John, two brothers, Gerald Belyea and James Belyea (Wanda) both of Browns Flat, five step-sons, Douglas Lingley Jr.(Rose), Rickey Lingley (Dianne), David Lingley (Alice), John Lingley, Gerry Lingley (Joanne) all of Saint John, two step-daughters, Sharon Driscoll and Patricia Lingley, both of Saint John, eleven grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews, leaving behind very good friends Becky and Howard McNally. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one son William Dorcas Jr. and former spouce William Dorcas, both in 1983. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425), with visiting on Saturday, January 18, 2003 from 1:30-2:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Brenan's Bayview Chapel, on Saturday, January 18, 2003 at 2:30 pm. Interment in Browns Flat United Cemetery in the spring. At the family's request in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit.
