Obituary of Carl William MacKay

The death of Mr. Carl William MacKay, of Hardings Point, husband of Dorothy "Dot" (Mowbray) MacKay, occurred on Saturday, November 2, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. Stephen, NB, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mary (VanWart) MacKay. Carl was a self employed excavator and construction worker for many years, and was a member of the Moss Glen Branch # 62, Royal Canadian Legion. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, William of Alberta, one daughter, Paula Pitre (Rene), also of Alberta, daughter-in-law, Christa MacKay of Saint John, five sisters, Sharon Mesiner (Al) of Yarrow, BC, Jean King (Bruce) of BC, Linda Putsey (Harold) of Alberta, Diane Whittaker (Jim) and Joyce Learmonth (Gordon), both of Saint John, four grandchildren, Amber, Colbey, Devin and Kylie, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, John. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Bay View Chapel on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at 2:00 PM. Remembrances to the Moss Glen Legion or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
