Obituary of Marie Mabel MacDonald
The death of Mrs. Marie Mabel (Bizeau) MacDonald, wife of the late Edward L. MacDonald, occurred on Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Miscou Island, NB, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Elizabeth (Beaudin) Bizeau. For many years, Marie had been employed with Prince Edward Square Laundry. Marie enjoyed playing "Bingo", knitting, and talking to everyone. She had a very strong faith, and will be sadly missed and remembered by her family and friends. Marie was very loving and cherished her family. She is survived by one son, Norman (Shirley) Hachey of Toronto, ON, two daughters, Anne Marie Snodgrass (Howard) and Brenda Brown (David) both of Saint John, twelve step-children, William MacDonald (Kathy) of Mississauga, ON, Lois Evans (David), Wayne MacDonald (Heather), Esther Foote (Jim), Linda Doiron (Louis), Donna Speight (Joe), Richard MacDonald, Kevin MacDonald (Margaret), Michael MacDonald (Cathy), Sherry MacDonald, all of Saint John, Ronald MacDonald (Michelle) of Baytown, Texas, and Frank MacDonald (Linda) of Dartmouth, NS, three sisters, Marion Bernier, Lena Boucher, and Edith Moore, all of Saint John, five grandchildren, Joanne, Kevin, Brenda-Lee, Natalie, and Michael, thirteen step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Stanley J. Hachey, her second husband, Edward L. MacDonald, a granddaughter, Natalie Hachey, a sister, Mary Rose Basque, and two brothers, Lawrence and Albert Bizeau. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, (506) 634-7425, with visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2002 at 10:00 AM from Bay View Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to St. Joseph's Hospital, Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, or to the Sisters of Charity would be appreciated.
