Obituary of Susan Marie Keirstead

It is with deep regret that the family of Susan M. Keirstead, partner of Robert Montgomery announces her passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 17, 2012. Born in Saint John on July 3, 1959, she was a daughter of Malcolm Maguire and the late Rita (Driscoll) Maguire. Susan was employed at the Saint John Regional Hospital as a PSW1. Her greatest joy in life was her family especially her grandchildren, children and her extended family. Sue was a very caring and compassionate person with great faith. She took great pride in her work, enjoyed dancing and making people happy and had a smile that could light up a room. Besides her father she is survived by her daughter Erin Blagden (Michael) of Musquash, her sons Michael (Anne) and Matthew Keirstead both of Saint John and their father Ken Keirstead, two sisters Jill (Steve) LeBlanc and Lisa (Gerry) Johnston both of Lorneville and brother Michael (Kathryn) Maguire of Saint John. Three grandchildren Carter, Quinn and Genevieve, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 12 noon from Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
