Obituary of Ruby Laird

The unexpected death of Ruby Laird, wife of David Laird occurred on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at her residence. She was born on December 1, 1949 in Saint John to the late Reginald and Hazel (Ferrie) Watson. Ruby worked for many years as an office manger for Silverts in Ontario. Ruby's life was her grandchildren, they were the apple of her eye. She is survived by her husband, David; son, Joe McLeod (Katherine) of Musquash; Barb Leblanc (Luke) of Prince of Wales; sister, Barb Hachey of Saint John; grandchildren: Genevieve, Michael, Kaela, Lukie and Thomas; great-grandson, Aidan; nieces: Sherry, Kristy, Shelli, Melissa and Shawna; nephews: Graham, Billy and Ryan and her furry friend, Hamish. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Bay View Chapel on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
