Obituary of Isabelle J. Clarke

The death of Isabelle (Cruickshank) Clarke of Carleton Kirk Nursing Home, wife of the late Theodore Clarke, occurred at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home on June 6, 2004. Born in Scotland, she was the daughter of Peter and Jane (Guthrie) Cruickshank. Isabelle is survived by one brother William Cruickshank of Walpole, Mass; three sisters: Sarah Curran of Saint John, Marie Gourley of Gagetown and Edna Law of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by one brother James Cruickshank; four sisters: Martha Wormell, Annie Creagan, Neittie Bolonge and Margaret Cruickshank. Isabelle worked on her father's farm prior to marriage and was the last remaining original resident of the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home, which opened in 1985. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, 506-634-7425, with visiting Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. There will be no Funeral Service. A graveside committal service will take place in Central Hampstead Cemetery on Wednesday June 9, 2004 at 2 pm. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
