Obituary of Herbert Andrew Wilson

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Herbert Andrew Wilson of Saint John, which occurred on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on November 1, 1932 he was a son of the late David and Bertha (Neal) Wilson. Â Herby was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and received two medals during his service, the Korean Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69. Â He is survived by his brother, David (Lorna) Wilson of Lorneville; sister-in-law, Ellen Wilson of Lorneville; two nieces and several nephews. Predeceased by his parents and five brothers, Louis, Donald, Edward, Neal and Glendon. Â Herby's family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of 3BN for their compassion and care. Â In keeping with Herby's wishes there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Lorneville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425). For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
