Obituary of Dale Norton Christie

Dale Norton Christie of Lorneville, husband of Judy E. (Wills) Christie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 08, 2011 at the Saint John Residential Hospice. Born at Saint John on August 29, 1950, he was a son of Irene (Maguire) Christie and the late Norton Christie. Dale worked as a budget clerk for the Saint John Police Department for 38 years. He was a 35 year member of the Carleton Curling Club, and enjoyed curling and golfing. In addition to his wife and to his mother, Dale is survived by a son, Shawn Christie of Halifax, NS; a daughter, Amy Christie of Lorneville; a sister, Joanne Arsenault (Gary)and their children Kristen and Evan of Saint John; and a sister-in-law, Joan Armstrong and her children Scott and Jill. Dale was predeceased by his father, Norton Christie on February 13, 2010. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Brenan's Bay View Chapel. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.  For those who wish, remembrances to Bobby's Hope House or any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Â
