Obituary of Clarence Joseph Doiron

Surrounded by his family the death of Clarence Doiron, husband of Edith (Gauthier) Doiron occurred at the Carleton Kirk Lodge on Monday, April 11, 2011. He was born on November 8, 1933 at Trudel, NB to the late Louie and Anna (Blanchard) Doiron. Clarence served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corp stationed in Valcartier, QC. He worked for the DVA and Provinical Hospitals ending his career working for the Labour's Union. Clarence was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69 and the Moss Glen Legion. Â Besides Edith, he is survived by five children: Elaine Parent (Gerard) of Musquash, and Robert Doiron (Janet), Annette White, Norma Bradford (Kenny) and Barbara Doiron (Alex Richard) all of Saint John; three sisters: Mable Cormier, Melvina Richard, and Emily Gossilin; two brothers: Reginald Gossilin and Frank Doiron and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Clarence was predeceased by his parents; infant daughter Lorraine; three sisters: Evangeline Gossilin, Alma Doiron and Helen Goddin and five brothers: Arthur, Ernest, Albanie, Albert and Emile Doiron. Â Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 360 Dufferin Row on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 12 Noon. A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute Service will be held Wednesday at 7 PM. Interment will take place in St. Augustine's Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Clarence's Family would like to thank the Staff of the Carleton Kirk Lodge for their compassion and support during the time Clarence spent with them.
