Marie Fernande Monique Coulombe

Obituary of Marie Jean Fernande Monique Coulombe

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Wife of the late Lucien Joseph Coulombe. Born in Armagh, Quebec on January 28, 1938 she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Marilda (Théberge) Rousseau.  Monique loved being a member of the Douglas Valley Red Hats Society. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Wirral Monday night card games, and shopping trips to Maine with her daughters. Her greatest pleasure in life, however, came when she was spoiling her children and grandchildren with home cooking and lots of hugs and kisses. Although her family will miss her dearly, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with the love of her life.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ashlum and the Nurses of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital ICU, especially nurse Terri, for their care and compassion.  She is survived by her three sons, Yves (Terri) of Clarendon, NB; Roger (Neta) of Clarendon and Andre (Nicole) of Saint John; three daughters, Lyne Gionet (Tom) of Grand Bay – Westfield; Helene Pye (Mark) of Clarendon and Susan Coulombe (Arek Mackowiak) of Maine, USA; eleven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Aline Rousseau; Cecile Rousseau and Giselle Rousseau all of Quebec; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and parents; daughter-in-law, Ellen; three brothers and three sisters.  Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Wednesday, March 30th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 31st, 2011 at 10 am from St. Augustine's Church, Grand Bay – Westfield. Interment to take place at a later date.   Online condolences may be placed at www.brenansfh.com
