Obituary of Dale John Corcoran

On Sunday, March 6th, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Dale John Corcoran of Saint John passed away following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Mae Corcoran (April 2010). He was born in PEI on July 1st, 1937, and was the eldest son of the late John and Helen (Dalton) Corcoran. Dale will be sadly missed by his five children: Laura Lee Nice (Frank), Tony, Lynn McCluskey (Trent), Rick and Troy. His six grandchildren: Meagan Nice (Mike Cunningham), Bradley Nice, Shelley, Natasha and Dylan McCluskey and Cody Poirier and great granddaughter, Mya will miss their special Grampy. He is also survived by seven sisters: Marie O'Brien (Bill), Hazel Gallant, Zeta Clarkin, Lorraine Walker, Norma Bulger (Roger), Arlene McLellan, Aleitha Shaw (Grant) and brother, Allison Corcoran (Pam). Â Also survived by his aunts Alfreda Corcoran, Sister Mary Agatha and Margarite Lawrence, his brother and sister-in-laws: as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, parents and his brother, Winston. Dale was a welder by trade and a very talented woodworker, a trait he inherited from his father and passed along to his children. He was a very gifted, talented man who could do anything he set out to do. He was a member of St. Matthews Church. Â Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Matthew's Church, Martinon on Wednesday, March 9th, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held in St. Augustine's Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish remembrances to the Lung Association, Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
