Obituary of Harry Robert Scribner

The death of Harry R. Scribner of Welsford, NB, husband of the late Elsie Woods (McCracken) Scribner, occurred on Friday, March 19, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Dunns Corner, NB, on June 24, 1911, he was the son of the late Alfred G. and Mary A. (Polley) Scribner. Harry was a retired employee of Diamond Construction. He was a family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, he will be sadly missed. Harry is survived by two children, Sandra Spinney of Welsford, NB, and George Scribner (Erna) of Fredericton, NB; four grandchildren, Lynda McAleer (Donald), Larry, Marc and Cherie MacMillan (George); four great grandchildren, Amanda and Byran, Jeremy, Cerinity, several nieces and nephews. Harry is predeceased by one sister Margaret Burns and one granddaughter Rhonda. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (634-7425), with visiting on Sunday 2-4, 7-9 PM. Funeral will be held on Monday, March 22, 2004, from Bay View Chapel at 2:15 PM, internment to take place at a later date.
