Obituary of Dorothy Cochrane

It is with great sadness and deep regret that we announce the passing of Dorothy Cochrane, formely of Lorneville, NB on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, in her 100th year, at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Bessie Splane. She leaves her three children to cherish her memory; Floyd Wilson (the late Eleanor) Saint John, N.B., Donna Little (Norman) of Summerside, PEI, and Lawrence Wilson (Elva) of Belleville, Ont.; step-children Margaret Rose Benendict (Gordon) of Summerville, NS, and Claude Cochrane, Jr., of Brooklyn, NS, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; four step-grandchidren and one step-great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephew and special friend and faithful visitor, Jeannie Smith. She was predeceased by her first husband Edgar Wilson and her second husband Claude Cochrane, also by brothers; Glenn and Robert Splane and by one sister, Elsie Fielden. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, (634-7425) with visiting on Friday, January 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, January 30th at 11:00 AM from Bay View Chapel. Interment to take place in Lorneville Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Lorneville Cemetery Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.
