Obituary of Lorraine Doiron

The peaceful passing of Lorraine Ann Doiron of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, wife of Lionel (Leo) Doiron, occurred on July 12, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital at age 72. She was born on August 26, 1936, in Winnipeg, MB, the daughter of Donavan and Eleanor May (Powles) Moore. Resident of Saint John for the past 22 years, she was a member of Grand Bay-Westfield Seniors Club and TOPPS Club of Westfield and St. Matthew's Parish Card Club. She was member of St. Augustine's Church and a past member of the ladies auxiliary. She was devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved to take great care of her family. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons Bruce (Guilda) of Fredericton, and Patrick (Mary), of Laval, QC, one daughter Lynn (Scott) Doiron- Smith of Chute A Blondeau, ON, one sister Eleanor (Albert) Kshywicki, Winnipeg, MB, two granddaughters, Pamela and Jessica Doiron and one grandson Derek. She was predeceased by her parents and 1 brother Donavan Jr. of Thompson MB. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Church on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 2 pm. Following the service a reception will be held at St. Matthew's Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke of New Brunswick and Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
