Obituary of Gerry Mazerolle

Mazerolle, Geresime Joseph – The death of Geresime "Gerry" Mazerolle of Saint John, NB, husband of Pauline (Gaudet) Mazerolle, occurred on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Acadieville, NB on July 13, 1926, he was a son of the late Edouard and Marie (Thebeau) Mazerolle. Gerry had been employed at the Winter Port as a Longshoreman and worked as a painter in the summers. Besides his wife of 59 years, Pauline; he is survived by ten children, Theresa (Ken) Lyon, Ronald (Deborah), Thomas (Elaine), Irene (Don) Lyon, Deborah (Leon) Alexander, Norman, David (Jennifer), Nora (Gordon) Craft, Robert (Janis), all of Saint John and Donald (Joan) of Lincoln, NB; two brothers, Edward and Vital, both of Saint John; one sister, Edme Steed of California; twenty-two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Irene in 1951; a brother, Ted and a sister, Georgina. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Church on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 10:00 am. with a reception to follow at the Milford Community Center.
