Obituary of Leslie Thomas Muzzerall

The death of Leslie Thomas Muzzerall of Saint John, NB, husband of the late Margaret Ann McIntyre, occurred on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born at Chatham Head, NB on August 20, 1912, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary (Malley) Muzzerall. Leslie had been employed with Irving Pulp and Paper as a machinist for thirty-two years. A Veteran of World War II, Leslie served with the Canadian Army from 1940 to 1946. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Leslie is survived by his daughter, Theresa McDougall of Saint John; a brother, Cecil Muzzerall (Terry) of Clarendon; a sister, Florence Briggs of Ontario; four grandchildren: Gail Horgan (Andy) of Porter's Lake, NS, Paula Little (Fred) of Saint John, James Leslie McDougall (Linda) of Richmond, BC and Taniel Cameron (Allan) of McLean, VA; seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Reid in 2002; four brothers: Archie, Earl, Harrison and Douglas; and four sisters: Regina, Blanche, Amanda and Muriel. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Matthew's Church, Grand Bay, NB on Saturday at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery at a later date.
