Obituary of James Stephen Park

Park, James Stephen – With great sadness, James S. Park, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 14, 2008 at the age of 54. Born, April 22, 1953, in Saint John, NB, he was a son of Ella Park and the late, William Park, and raised in West Saint John. When he married his wife, Mary (Seely) Park, they resided in Grand Bay for 36 years where they built their dream home for retirement. James was a loving and dedicated husband to Mary and a devoted dad to his son, James Jr. and his wife, Andrea, his daughter; "Daddy's Little Princess", Jennifer and her fiancée, Ashley Stokes. James is also survived by his mother, Ella Park, his sisters; Elizabeth McKinley (Don), Mary Busby (Greg), Linda Clark, Jo-Ann Park and Susan Park, his brothers; Brian (Lynn) and John (Joanne), sister in-laws; Linda Mitchell (Teddy) and Aggie MacArthur (Bruce), brother in-law, Edward Seely (Lana), Godfather to great-niece, Niaya Fidler, special uncle to niece, Lori Park, as well as several nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. James was predeceased by his infant daughter, Christine. He was loved and respected by so many personal friends and associates in the truck and trailer industry for 35 years. James was an avid street rod enthusiast, re-building many cars for his friends. A man of many talents, there was nothing James couldn't do whether it be welding, engine rebuilding, auto painting or carpentry. His greatest joy in life was his strong and lasting marriage to Mary "his honey" and his beautiful children. James is a man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506-634-7425) with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 12:00 pm from Brenan's Bay View Chapel. Remembrances may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
