Obituary of Mary Cecilia Lomax

The death of Mary Cecilia (Savoie) Lomax, of Lepreau, NB, wife of Lorin Lomax, occurred on Friday, November 24, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Henriette (Brideau) Savoie. Cecilia was employed with City Laundry, sold Avon, worked as a receptionist for her brother Leonard and retired from Simms Brush Factory in 1973. In her younger years she was an avid bowler and card player. Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Bob (Wanda) Walsh, grandchildren, Matthew and Vanessa all of Grand Bay/Westfield; one daughter, Karen Walsh of Tifton, Georgia; one brother, Leonard Savoie, two sisters, Lorenza Robichaud and Irene (David) Fullerton, three step-children, Wanda (Glen) Adams, Bradley (Sharon) Lomax, Bruce Lomax, six step-grandchildren, two great-step-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Robert Walsh (1967) and one brother, Gerry Savoie. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, (634-7425) with visiting on Monday, November 26, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 from Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Little Lepreau Cemetery.
