Obituary of Blake D. Mott

The death of Blake D. Mott, husband of 59 years to Madalyn (Breen) Mott, occurred on September 20, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Belyea's Cove, NB, he was the son of the late George and Annie (Logue) Mott. He served in England, France and Belgium under the 12th Canadian General Hospital during WW II. Upon his return he became employed as a Nursing Orderly with the DVA Hospital in Saint John retiring as supervisor in 1982. He enjoyed his summers at Belyea's Cove. Besides his wife he is survived by his son Brian and his wife Joan Parlee-Mott of Saint John, his daughter Nancy Mott of Saint John, brothers Ivan Mott and his wife Hazel of Sussex, Irvine Mott and his wife Verna of Saint John, sisters Grace McDonald and her husband John of Sussex, Georgie Urquhart of Sussex, Lilly Barnes and her husband Lawrence of McDonald's Point, Ruth Norrad and her husband Burt of Sussex, Patricia Samuelsen and her husband Ove of Sackville, NB, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Following cremation visiting will be held at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday. The memorial service will take place on Saturday, at 1:00 pm, from Bay View Chapel. Remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
