Obituary of Irene Virginia Cameron

Cameron, Irene Virginia … The death of Irene Virginia "Gini" Cameron, wife of the late James Wallace Cameron, occurred on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born April 3, 1927 in Sydney Mines, NS a daughter of the late George and Lydia (Rice) Smith. She had graduated from Acadia University '48, was a dedicated wife to James and mother to Wayne and Kim, and later was employed as a dietitian at the Saint John General Hospital. Gini spent the last ten years at Lincourt Manor in St. Stephen, NB and will be remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. She had a quiet disposition and a kind heart. She never complained about her condition but welcomed each new day. Survived by a son, Wayne Cameron and a daughter, Kim Macdonald and her husband Kenneth; three grandchildren, Chelsea, James and Scott; one sister, Helen Smith; one brother, David Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, James; two brothers, Hugh Smith and George Smith. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery in the spring. Remembrances may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
