Obituary of Harry Osborne Perry

The death of Harry Osborne Perry of Saint John West, NB, husband of R. Cecelia (Boyd) Perry, occurred on Friday, February 16, 2007 at his late residence. Born June 20, 1921 in Saint John, a son of the late Duncan and Louise (Banks) Perry. Harry was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 27 years and later was employed for 19 years with the Alcohol and Drug Dependency Commission. A member of Lancaster Baptist Church, he enjoyed the Shuffleboard Club and the Men's Choir; a member of the Carleton Union Masonic Lodge and a former member of the Luxor Shrine. Survived by his wife, Cecelia; two daughters, Janet L. (Wayne) Nice of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB and Carol Anne (Paul) Basque of Saint John; one son, Kenneth B. Perry of Victoria, BC; grandsons, Jason and Adam Nice; sister-in-law, Nina Taylor; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Gertrude Murray and Barbara Keith; brother, William Perry. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 pm and a Masonic Service on Sunday at 7 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 11 am from Bay View Chapel. Interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the Shriners Hospital Systems for Children.
