Obituary of Kenneth Cheley

Cheley, Kenneth The death of Kenneth Cheley, husband of Verna (Murray) Cheley, occurred on December 5, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Wales he was the son of the late Gilbert and Lilly (Thomas) Cheley. He was a Veteran of WW II and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 87 where he held several offices including president. He was a longtime member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Oak Point. He enjoyed gardening. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Roland and his wife Kathy of Nerepis, NB, Harold of Sudbury, ON, sister Hazel Cheley of Victoria, BC, grandchildren Michael, Carol-Anne, David, Benjamin and Jana and his 5 great-grandchildren. His daughter-in-law Diane predeceased him. Resting at Brenans Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 11:00 am, from Bay View Chapel. Interment at St. Paul's Cemetery, Oak Point.
