Obituary of Wayne D. MacDonald

The death of Wayne Douglas MacDonald, of Saint John, NB, husband of Heather (Yeomans) MacDonald, occurred on Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on April 13th, 1950 he was a son of the late Edward and Laura (Patterson) MacDonald. Wayne was employed as a Purchasing Agent with Harris & Roome Supply for the last 23 years and before that, 12 years with Canadian General Electric. He was a member of the Stroke Foundation and a Trekkie at heart. Wayne enjoyed life, Family gatherings, collected Coca-Cola memorabilia, loved music, computers, reality shows and the Montreal Canadians. Besides his wife he is survived by his two daughters: Cheryl and Vanessa both of Toronto; six brothers: Bill (Kathie) of Mississauga; Ronnie, Richard, Frank (Linda), Kevin (Margaret) all of Saint John; and Michael (Cathy) of Nauwigewauk; five sisters: Lois (Dave) Evans, Esther (Jim) Foote, Linda (Louis) Doiron, Donna (Joe) Speight and Sherry MacDonald all of Saint John; aunts, uncles, and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, (634-7425) with visiting on Monday, September 25, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 from Bay View Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances, in lieu of Flowers, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
