Obituary of Yvonne M. B. Doucette

The death of Yvonne M. B. Doucette, wife of the late Philip Doucette, occurred on September 16, 2006 at her residence. Born in the Gaspe Bay, she was the daughter of the late Elisee Rioux and the late Blanche (Chouinard) Rioux, her mother she lost during childhood. She was a supervisor of telecommunication at the Saint John Regional Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Matthews Roman Catholic Church, Grand Bay. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, bingo and the time spent with family and friends at Green Bay, NS. She is survived by her mother Lucie (Daigle) Rioux, daughters Elise Doucette, Christine Wambolt (Norman), Beatrice Stubbs (James), Susan Smith (David), all of Saint John, Cathy Todd of Grand Bay-Westfield, Michelle Burgess (Jeff) of Windsor, NS, brother Roger Rioux (Margaret) of Chilliwack, BC, grandchildren Philip and Scott Stubbs, Michael, Megan and Christopher Wambolt, Stephen Doucette, and Katherine and Lucy Burgess and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her son-in-law Stephen Todd predeceased her. Resting at Brenans Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at 11:00 am, at St. Matthews Roman Catholic Church, Grand Bay, followed by cremation. Remembrances made to the Huntington's Society, the NB Lung Association or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
