Obituary of Leo Louis McPhee

Leo Louis McPhee, a grade 10 student at St. Malachy's High School, died suddenly on March 21, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, September 26, 1989, he was the son of Daniel and Rose (Bastarache) McPhee. Besides his parents he is survived by his sister Danielle and honorary little sister Kendyl Thibodeau, his grandmother Bernadette (Burchill) Bastarache. He was the nephew of Donna Doiron (Rheal), Mary Cullen (Steven), Stephen Bastarache, Danny Bastarache, Leo McPhee (Karen), and cousin to Chantelle Doiron, Bruce Doiron, Ben Cullen, Jill Cullen, Terry McPhee, Sheri McPhee, Keri Burpee, Jonathan McPhee, Jennifer McPhee and Paul McPhee. His grandfathers Leo McPhee and Danny Bastarache, grandmother Ann (Dalton) McPhee, special grandparents Hazel (Daley) McPhee and Edward 'Buddy' LeBlanc, aunt Joanne (Bastarache) Steeves and uncle Paul McPhee predeceased him. Leo's passions in life were his BMX riding and the time spent with friends. His love for his family and friends were a motivation and influence in his passionate poetry and song writing. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Following cremation the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 24, 2006, at 10:00 am from St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances made to St. Malachy's High School Scholarship Fund, in memory of Leo McPhee, or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
