Obituary of Albert John Olsen

The death of Albert John Olsen, husband of the late Muriel Winnifred (Fitzpatrick) Olsen, occurred on March 2, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Bayfield, NB, he was the son of the late John A. and Lillian (Lane) Olsen. He served overseas during WW II with Canadian Army. He was employed in the construction industry including have worked as a Road and Bridge Foreman with Dexter Construction Ltd. and retired as Development Officer with the Town of Grand Bay. He was a member of St. Giles United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 22. He was an active curler over the years. He is survived by his son David and his fiancée Pam of Morna, his daughters Linda McCullough and her husband Sean of Grand Bay-Westfield, Ruth Hanna and her husband Kelly of Grand Bay-Westfield, his brother Herbert Olsen and his wife Donna of Moncton, his sisters Dorothy Lane and her husband Arthur of Moncton, Teressa Lane and her husband Fred of Bayfield, NB, his grandchildren Sara and Scott McCullough and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Edwin and sisters Hilda, Edith and Marion. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2005, at 1:00 PM, from St. Giles United Church. Following cremation interment will take place Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin, NB. Remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
