Obituary of Kingsley Russell Cook

Cook-Kingsley Russell, of Sand brook, passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital, Dec. 22nd, 2004. Born Oct 15th 1927, husband of the late Joan (MacDonald) Cook, a son of the late William and Gertrude (Kirkpatrick) Cook, an employee of Saint John Spring Works, until his retirement in 1994. King will be remembered by many as a man with a fascinating memory and a knack for telling stories, most starting with him, Jack, a car, and a case, the others being of many hunting and fishing excursions, a lot of which started the same way too. King will be very missed by daughter, Charlene & Richard Harrison, Sand brook, sons, Dwayne & Lynn Cook, St. John, Jodie Cook, Sand brook, grandchildren Dawn, Melissa, Dwayne & Jennifer, of Saint John, Richard & Joseph of Sand brook, brother Brud (Edward) & Marilyn, sisters Viola & George Gibbons, Joan & Greg (John) Logan and Audrey Cosman, special niece Shirley Whitenect, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his wife, Joan (1995) and his parents, mom (1960), dad (1986) King was predeceased by sisters Pearl Graham (1987), Eileen Hamm (1998), brothers, Malcolm (1944) and Doug (1988) and son Kingsley Cook (1989). Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7425) with visiting on Sunday December 26, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 27, 2004 from Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Following cremation interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
