Helen Bagley

Obituary of Helen Frances Bagley

It is with both sorrow and rejoicing, that we have bid farewell to Helen, our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and friend to many. She has danced among the stars with Jesus and passed through the Pearly Gates to meet those awaiting her arrival. Helen was predeceased by her loving husband, Horace; her parents, Ralph and Zelia (Wilson) Guptill; her son David and his wife JoAnne; siblings, Keith, Berniece and Clinton; Granddaughter, Kristin Leonard and Great Granddaughter, Reanne Striemer. She is survived by: son, Dana (Debra Cooke), daughters: June (Kim Courtoreille), Patricia (Leighton Spicer), Joanne (Richard Hodgson); brother Burton (Elizabeth), grandchildren: Allyson MacDonald, Debra Dexter, Michael Bagley; Mark Bagley, Stacie Striemer, Robert Bagley; Sarah and April Courtoreille; Heather Greene, Christopher Spicer, Cheryl Spicer; Eric Leonard and 27 great grandchildren. She also had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She and Dad served the community with heartfelt love at the Saint John Chaplaincy, gathering food and gifts for those less fortunate. They loved to talk to people about their Savior and help wherever needed. Helen loved music. She enjoyed watching all of God's creations; some up close (cats) and some from afar. She loved the view from her living room on Red Head Road. She spent many hours watching the tide and knitting afghans for those she loved. She was loved and will be missed by many, but she will never be forgotten. There will be no visitation or service at this time. There will be a Celebration of her life and placing of her ashes at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Gideon's Memorial Bible Plan or to the SPCA.
