Obituary of Gail Emily Jones

We sadly say goodbye to our "dear heart" Gail Emily Jones. She was the youngest child of Lloyd Francis and Verna (Howe) Jones. Gail was born August 14, 1964. She died peacefully on April 22, 2016. Gail is survived by her sisters, Donna (Pat) Finnigan, Frances (Kevin) Rogers and brother Jim (Jackie); her nieces, Laura, Chelsea, Tara and nephews, Jeffery, Kyle, Mark and Scott; grandnieces, Chloe, Elyse, Ada, Adeline and Bronwyn. Gail has been blessed to have had many caring and wonderful people come into her life since our dad's passing in October 2002. Those people who loved and cared about Gail, are too many to name, yet they know who they are and it is with extreme gratitude that we thank them for their love, kindness and friendship. Gail will be missed by her caring friends, Chrissy, Neil, Paul and Shirley. Gail had the gift of loving those who genuinely cared for her, she had a wonderful quick sense of humour and teased her friends to cheer them and to hear them laugh. She also got to the point and said with complete honesty what we were only thinking! A hug from her usually ended with a bum pinch, a giggle and trying to lift you off the floor. Lately it was a weak kiss on your cheek. The staff of Belleisle Creek Manor Special Care Home have our deepest admiration and respect for making Gail's life comfortable, fun, engaging, and filled with love, in her most challenging year of rapid decline. Gail's caregivers gave her loving compassionate, end of life care at her home. The very best way to leave this life surrounded by love. Mom and dad would be happy to know that their little girl was loved, protected and had many wonderful experiences with her friends at Tender Heart, Crosswinds and Belleisle Creek Manor. She loved trick/treating on Halloween as "Cat Woman" and dances with her friends at Crosswinds. Pizza, pepsi and chocolate was her favorite food group! Shopping trips to find more "Elvis", new clothes and treats went on her list. To know Gail was to love her. To spend time with her was joyful and gave an renewed appreciation for simple pleasures without expectations. "Her smile always made us smile, her laugh was infectious, her heart was pure and true above all, we love that she was in our life" Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), where a memorial service to celebrate Gail's life will be on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM. To honour Gail's memory, share your time with another in need. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby's Hospice .
