Obituary of Deanna Lynn Weaver

With great sadness, the family of Deanna Weaver announce her passing, which occurred on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born March 6, 1971 in Saint John, she was the daughter of Davina (Martin) and the late Dennis Weaver.

 

Deanna attended many Special Education schools in Saint John: Centennial, St. Pius, Princess Elizabeth, and graduated from Saint John Vocational School in 1992. She was employed at Catena Jobs Plus and Key Industries for many years. She was also a member of the Bowlarama Challengers, and an avid hockey and wrestling fan.

 

In addition to her mother, Deanna is survived by her brother, Derrick Weaver (Chantal) of Raleigh, NC; nieces, Reagan and Addison Weaver; uncles, Hugh Martin (Ruth) and Norman Martin (Agnes); aunt, Sharon Gilliland (Gerry); cousin, Sam Maguire (Shirley); and friend, Linda Maguire. She was predeceased by her father, Dennis.

 

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Patterson’s Special Care Home, where Deanna resided for 14 years, and to Independence Plus Inc. at 555 Millidge Avenue for their care. Thank you also to Deanna’s cousin, Jennifer Moore, for your care in her final days. Your kindness will not be forgotten.

 

Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425), with visiting on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 12 to 2 pm, at which time a funeral service will begin in Brenan’s Bay View Chapel. A private family interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Saint John Regional Hospital- Palliative Care Unit, the Saint John SPCA- Animal Rescue, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
