Obituary of Paul Kelvin White

The death of Paul Kelvin "Kal" White of Rothesay, NB, husband of Mary (Lafferty), occurred on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on October 30, 1935 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and raised in St. Peter's, NS. He was a son of the late Paul and Anna (MacDonald) White. Kal was employed as a police officer with the Saint John Police Department, before working for CHSJ Television, he then went on to work for Wrigleys Canada from 1970 - 2000. He was also the President of Eco-Tec Systems for several years in the 1990's. Kal was a Co-Chairman for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Building Committee for the building of the new church. Kal enjoyed amateur radio, Cape Breton and Newfoundland music, and flight simulators, he also was involved with cruise ship tours. Besides his wife of 50 years, Kal is survived by his children; Brian White of Rothesay, NB, Beverly White of Ottawa, ON, nieces; Patricia Mock, Carolyn Bartlett, Nicole Shanahan, and Frances Pedley, nephews; Trevor Watson and Philip Lafferty, and sisters-in-law; Agnes Watson (George)of Barrie, ON, Anne White of Truro, NS, brothers-in-law; Patrick Lafferty of Chipman, NB, John Lafferty of Caledonia, ON, and Owen Lafferty of Grimsby, ON. Kal was predeceased by his brother Ambri White. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment to take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery.
