Obituary of Graydon Walter Clark

After a lengthy hard fought battle with his health, the death of Graydon Clark, husband of Betty Clark occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. He was born on July 15, 1944 in Mainstream, Carleton County to the late Basil and Sadie (Foster) Clark. Graydon worked for SMT Eastern Ltd as maintenance manager for many years until he was forced into early retirement. When he could work, Graydon was dedicated to his career, he worked hard and put in very long hours. In his spare time Graydon enjoyed watching western movies and collecting elephants. He and his dog, Freedom loved trips to Tim Horton’s, he loved getting Tim Cards. Graydon was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Betty; their children: Deborah "Debbie" Luttrell (Roger) of Saint John, Brenda Ward (Mac) of Hampton, Richard John of Saint John and Shelley Barrieau (Steve) of Greenwood, NS; brothers: Howard and James Dale; grandchildren: Katelyn, Kyle, Amanda Marie, Damien, Evan, Noah and Kadenn and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Bruce and siblings: Lulu, Hezekiah "Lucky", Lloyd, Granville, Doreen, Noreen, George "Jerry" and Haldean. Graydon’s family will receive family and friends at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A committal service will be held in Cloverdale Cemetery, Cloverdale, NB on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 3:00 pm. Traditional remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Association. The family suggests giving a "Tim Card" to someone they care about in Graydon’s memory would be more of a personal touch. "He did not go gently into that good night"
