Obituary of Patricia Ann Beyea

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Pat Beyea of Quispamsis, beloved wife of John Beyea, announces her death which occurred peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2013, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in England on June 28, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Amy (Hodgson) Baker. Before retiring, Pat was employed as a physical education/health teacher, a career she truly loved. Her teaching career started at Saint John Vocational School and continued at Simonds High School for several years. She went on to spend the majority of her career teaching at St. John the Baptist School and St. Joseph's and retired from Beaconsfield Middle School. She served on the council for the New Brunswick Society of Retired Teachers and was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Pat was always passionate about fitness and especially enjoyed skiing, coaching and exercising at GoodLife Fitness. Loving wife to John; devoted mother to Michael Forrester (Julie Baker) and Mark Forrester (Maggie) all of Alberta, Joanne McDonald (Denys) of Fredericton, Darren Beyea (Linda) of Georgia and Jennifer O'Leary (Scott) of Saint John; amazing grandmother to nine precious grandchildren and caring sister to Terry Baker (Jan) of England. Also survived by nephews, Paul and Peter Baker, as well as many special friends. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visitation on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 1:00 – 4:00 and 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at 2:00 PM, immediately followed by a reception. A private interment will take place at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Quispamsis. Due to allergies, the family respectfully requests a scent-free environment. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the New Brunswick Society of Retired Teachers – Saint John Branch Scholarship Fund would be appreciated by the family.
