Obituary of Donna Lee Wilson

Donna Lee Wilson, on March 24, 2012, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Saint John, August 5, 1965, she was the only daughter of David and Theresa (Quinlan) Wilson. Donna so loved life and lived it on her terms. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and so kind to all. Before her illness, Donna loved to sew, knit and quilt. She was an avid Nascar fan drawing strength from watching "the race" right to the end. Donna worked at the Telegraph Journal before her illness forced her to leave. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. Donna is survived by her parents; her partner, Ross Linton; one son, Bryan Drost and her only granddaughter, Daneka Jade Drost who was the light of her world. She is also survived by many cousins and good friends; especially Cathy Stafford. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations to Palliative Care (SJRH), Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of donor’s choice.
