Obituary of Jean Isabell Logue

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Jean Isabell Logue, which occurred on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Kennebec Manor. Jean was born on November 24, 1924 in Saint John to the late Arthur Emery and Gladys (Breen-Carr) Galbraith. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth G. Logue on December 21, 2012. Jean worked at Revenue Canada briefly before her marriage, and then focused on her family life. She was a devoted wife and mother who was a wonderful cook, and never missed acknowledging birthdays and other special occasions. Jean enjoyed the pleasures of long term friendships that were acquired through her membership at Central Baptist and more recently Hillcrest Baptist Church. She will always be remembered by two sons, Jaime Logue (Catherine) of Oxford Mills, ON, and Arthur Logue (Nancy) of Saint John; and by three grandchildren Andrew (Shawna), Scott, and Oliver Logue. Jean is also survived by one brother, Bayard Galbraith (Dorothy) of Saint John; sister-in-law Jean Logue of Halifax; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Jean was predeceased by a brother Bruce Galbraith, and by a sister, Ruth Little. In keeping with Jean’s wishes, there will be no visitation time; however, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:30 AM from Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John. Interment will take place privately in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Gideons International or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family, in lieu of flowers. Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
