Obituary of William George Dalton

It is with great sadness that we, the family of William George Dalton of St. Andrews, NB, announce his death, which occurred on Monday, June 4, 2012 at his home. Born in Boston, MA on October 25, 1938 he was the husband of Ellen (Titus), and a son of the late George and Alice (Curran) Dalton. Bill Dalton was a professor of Anthropology at UNB in Fredericton, a well-respected colleague and scholar, and a gifted and inspiring educator. Bill is survived by his wife, Ellen; two daughters, Lisa Dalton (Andre Arseneault) and Shawn Dalton; one son, Butch Dalton (Kathy Brewer-Dalton); four grandchildren, Sebastien, Eliott, Riley and Declan; one brother, Richard Dalton (Janet); one nephew and one niece. He was predeceased by his first wife, Bonnie (Gordon) Dalton. There will be a private memorial followed by a wake where the family invites friends and relatives to remember and celebrate the life of Bill Dalton. The wake will be held on Saturday June 9th from 3:00 – 7:00 at 155 Water Street, St. Andrews, NB. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
