Obituary of Cyril C. Horgan

The death of Cyril Clement Horgan of Riverview, NB (formerly of Saint John), husband of the late June (nee Whitlock), occurred on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB a son of the late Daniel and Beatrice (King) Horgan. A resident of Saint John for most of his life, moving to Riverview twelve years ago and lived with his son and family; he was a former member of Stella Maris Parish. During World War II he served overseas with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. Cyril was employed for over twenty years with Rothesay Paper. Survived by one son, Tim (Jill) of Riverview and six daughters: Sue Duval of Toronto, ON, Gloria Ayers of Saint John, Bonnie (Louis) Arsenault of Hampton, NB, Theresa Robicheau of Saint John, Beatrice Horgan of Toronto and Gail (Gilles) Prevost of Saint John; four brothers: Donald (Mary), Danny, Noel (Marg), all three of Saint John and Murray of Dartmouth, NS; one sister, Dot Stafford, of Saint John; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, June (1983); two sons: Malcolm Kenneth (2006) and Doug (1972). Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and a Tribute to a Veteran Service on Wednesday evening at 7 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 2:15 pm. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to any charity of choice.
