Obituary of Roberta Catherine Roberts

The death of Roberta Roberts of Tynemouth Creek, wife of the late Oral Roberts occurred on Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on March 10, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Emma (Benjamin) Moore. Roberta is survived by her brothers, John Moore (Evelyn) of Tynemouth Creek and Russell Moore (Louise) of Ottawa; sister, Joan Maybury of North Carolina; special friend, Francis McKinnon of Tynemouth Creek; several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Roberta was also predeceased by her brother, Mitchell Moore; sister, Ferne Weir; uncle, Delbert Moore and aunts, Mrs. Ralph Hatfield and Mrs. Winslow Greer. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, March 30 from 7-9 PM and Tuesday, March 31 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at a later date in Browns Cemetery, Bains Corner. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
