Obituary of Linda May Basque

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda May Basque, loving wife to Ron Basque, announce her passing which occurred on August 7, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on April 7, 1950 in Saint John, to the late Louis Cyr and Louise (Doiron) Albert. Linda loved playing BINGO and it became a bit of a Sunday ritual at Exhibition Park with her sister Laura and sister-in-law Louise. She also enjoyed camping at the Island View Campground in Bayside, NB, but her greatest passion in life was for her grandchildren Breanna and Matthew, spending all the time she could with them. Linda will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Linda leaves behind her large and loving family, her husband Ron, their children: Tina (Tim) Kinney and Ron Jr (Karen) Basque, her grandchildren: Breanna and Matthew Kinney, her siblings: Lorna Burnett, Lorraine McLaughlin, Laura McLaughlin, Lois Blouin, Leona Stuart, John Cyr, Gary Cyr, Mary Cyr, Marlene Cyr, Darren Cyr and Sandy Bartlett, her mother-in-law Melina Basque, special niece Luanne Landry and many other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her father-in-law Albine Basque and her stepfather Ray Albert. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424) with visitation being held on Monday, August 10 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, August 11 at 10am from Brenan’s Chapel with interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
