Obituary of James Alexander Hattie

Hattie, James Alexander – It is with heavy hearts the family of James Alexander Hattie announce his passing, which occurred Friday, August 22, 2014 at his residence. Born in Pictou, NS on February 8, 1983, he was a son of Evelyn Quequish-Hattie and Colin Hattie (Ella). Alex was a quiet, thoughtful man and a trustworthy friend. He was intelligent, particularly with technology, and was always able to figure out how to fix things and make them work. He loved learning new things, and was a talented musician and swimmer. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters Guinevere Hattie and Nita Quequish; brother Charles Hattie; step-sister Tiffany Hanley (Delton); step brother Jason Hoyt (Sharla); five nieces and one nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Roy and Winnifred Hattie and Clara Quequish. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 2:00 PM. Due to his love of music, remembrances may be made to Sistema New Brunswick (sistemanb.ca)
