Obituary of Florida Marie Daigle

The death of Florida Daigle of Saint John, beloved wife of 66 years to the late Belonie Daigle occurred on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint Charles on March 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Allain) Chevarie. Florida is survived by three sons, Alyre (Nellie) of River Glade, Yvon (Jeannedarc) of Saint John and Guy (Yolande) of Rothesay; five daughters, Jeanne Maillet of Ontario, Alice Comeau (Raymond) of New Hampshire, Rosemary Richard (Leo-Paul), Yvonne Richard and Dianne Fox (Larry) all of Saint John; four sisters, Delorice Chevarie (the late Laurie), Rosanna Blanchard (the late Fedele), Yvonne LaPoint (Normand) and Mary Ann Comeau (the late Zoel); 24 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by eight brothers and three sisters, Israel, Armond, Odilas, Leonard, Alyre, Vincent, Theodore and baby Joseph, Lydia, Nelida and baby Rosanna. Florida worked for Connors Bros. of Blacks Harbour and Modular Homes in South Bay. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Saint Charles, at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
