Obituary of Bertha Little

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bertha Little on Tuesday, November 5th, 2013 of 662 Gondola Point Road, Quispamsis, New Brunswick. She was born March 20th, 1935 in Saskatchewan then moved to Southern Ontario as a teenager and in 1971 settled in New Brunswick which she considered to be her home. Bertha could and did accomplish anything she set her mind to do. Bertha owned and operated the Paw Shoppe up to her passing. Her greatest enjoyment during her life was dogs and cats. In 1972 Bertha purchased her first pure bred dog which was a Dalmatian. From there her love of the breed transcended from pet owner, to breeder, judging and dog showing both here in Canada and the USA. She was a valuable mentor for all new comers to the dog scene and is well known for her Beachcomber dogs. One of her last accomplishments was attaining the position of number 1 Dalmatian in the USA Breed with her most beloved "Daisy". Bertha was a lifetime member of the Canadian Kennel Club, New Brunswick Kennel Club and the Kennebecasis Obedience Club. Bertha will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 2:00 PM.
